Days after Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Gaikwad claimed he had hunted a tiger in 1987 and has been sporting its tooth round his neck, the state Forest division on Saturday seized the accent and charged him below the Wildlife Safety Act, an official stated.
The purported tiger tooth has been despatched for forensic identification and additional motion will likely be taken accordingly.
The legislator, who belongs to the Sena led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, just lately posted a video on social media claiming he had hunted a giant cat.
