Former Karnataka Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar, who switched again to the BJP from the Congress yesterday, on Friday refuted claims that BJP promised him a ticket for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. The INDIA alliance, comprising his earlier celebration Congress, won’t work in Karnataka, he asserted in an unique interview with NDTV.

“There was an insistence from BJP employees in Karnataka and state management. Even nationwide management welcomed me to the celebration. That is my home. We constructed the celebration. Coming again with the needs of the Karnataka BJP cadre,” he mentioned on switching loyalty.

Mr Shettar mentioned he joined BJP unconditionally, denying Congress claims that his transfer was prompted by the BJP promising him a Lok Sabha election ticket,
